Personalized Treatment

Each treatment always begins with a screening session where you, or the person in need of help, have an appointment with a psychologist licensed in Sweden to review the specific case and provide a personalized treatment based on the individual’s own preference and needs.
Based on your, or the person in need of help’s preference, needs and requirements, a thorough treatment plan is deployed and the treatment is carried out together with a highly-educated specialist tailored to meet your specific needs and requirements from precare to aftercare.

Together, we provide the following multiple options to meet the needs of you and your loved ones:

  • Initial screening pre-deployment to validate suitability of digital treatment.
  • 1x Digital Program based on Acceptance & Commitment Therapy.
  • 4×45 minutes psychologist appointments throughout the program personalized to your or your loved ones preference and needs.
  • Post-Program Evaluation & Assessment of aftercare needs.
  • Individual Therapy Treatment personalized for the individual.
  • Group Therapy for gamers & parents to gamers separately.
  • Couples Therapy for couples with a partner struggling with Gaming Disorder or prioritizing gaming above the relationship.
  • Child- & Youth Therapy, and Family Counseling for the kids & young adults.

Post-Treatment Evaluation & Aftercare

After a patient has completed their treatment plan, an evaluation call is scheduled together with the psychologist to review the progress made and ensure the patient has everything they need to carry on by themselves with both their Gaming Disorder and its potential trigger resolved.

To ensure each patient receives adequate and qualitative treatment, we have established a set of Compliance & Quality Assurance practices and standards to be lived by and met at all times in the treatment provision
Compliance

According to Swedish law, all healthcare practicioners & providers must hold a license to practice healthcare issued by The National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen). Svea KBT is both an authorized healthcare provider in Sweden in providing psychological & mental healthcare, licensed to employ PTP psychologists (a psychologist currently undergoing their practical duty to obtain their practitioners license), and an authorized partner of HealthyGaming in providing healthcare related to Gaming Disorder in Sweden, and within the European Union on behalf of HealthyGaming.

The treatment provided through this partnership is fully compliant with all laws and regulations under both the European Union (EU), and laws & regulations specific to Sweden, including but not limited to The Health and Social Services Act (Hälso- och sjukvårdslagen 2017:30), The Social Services Act (Socialtjänstlag 2001:453), The Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments (LSS, lag 1993:387 om stöd och service till vissa funktionshindrade) and The Patient Safety Act (Patientsäkerhetslagen 2010:659).

All directly practicing psychologists in this partnership have a Swedish license to practice psychology issued by The Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen).

Svea KBT also holds a license with The Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen) in full compliance with SOSFS 2008:34 to employ PTP psychologists who are currently doing their practical orientation under close supervision of a well-experienced licensed psychologist in order to obtain their practitioner’s license. No treatment is provided through a PTP psychologist unless a patient (or Guardian if the patient is a minor/child) have provided an explicit approval for their treatment to be carried out with the help of a PTP psychologist prior to the deployment of a treatment plan.

Quality Assurance

In compliance with The Swedish Patient Safety Act, Svea KBT have registered their healthcare activities with the Health and Social Care Inspectorate, also known as Inspektionen för Vård och Omsorg (IVO) in Sweden. The Health and Social Care Inspectorate (IVO) is both responsible of managing the register and monitoring the activities of the healthcare providers listed.

If you have any problems with your treatment received through this partnership and Svea KBT, we strongly encourage you to both reach out to us directly and report any irregularities or register a complaint with The Health and Social Care Inspectorate (IVO) here

In order to ensure each patient is receiving adequate and qualitative treatment, HealthyGaming have established internal random audits and spotchecks which are carried out actively where anonymous individuals who are educated psychologists undergo treatment with Svea KBT and report back about its quality & recommended actions if an audit fails.

Each psychologist is thoroughly screened by Svea KBT prior to employment where both each psychologists knowledge, expertise and personality is assessed to ensure that each patient can receive help not only from a qualified psychologist capable of treating both minors & adults using multiple evidence-based treatment methodologies, but also from psychologists with the right personality to deliver qualitative care.

Each case is thoroughly screened during the initial call with a qualified psychologist to ensure there is a good treatment-patient match, and a good psychologist-patient match. If the person receiving treatment does not believe their psychologist is a good match, the patient has the rights to switch both psychologists and their healthcare providers at any given time.
